What is Pandora? (go to the top)

It is a unique Internet-radio, where each person can choose favorite tracks, styles and artists in order to create their own radio stations. You listen to the radio and the radio "listens to you". Adjusting to user's music tastes, the system makes a playlist that you can control as you like. Broadcasting is constant and uninterrupted.



Why do I need Pandora? (go to the top)

By radio you can rarely hear several song you like in a row. The radio which reads your thoughts is called Pandora. You can visit Pandora site anytime and enjoy your favorite music without news and commercial breaks.



How does it work? (go to the top)

When you enter the site www.pandora.com, you'll see a field where you should enter the name of the artist, composer, song or music genre you'd like to hear. The system analyses compositions using voice, percussion instruments and bass guitar (depending on style) and selects the tracks with similar sound. Thus, you get uninterruptible radio air with music you'll like according to Pandora. If you don't like the track, click on the negative respond button and you will never hear it on this radio wave again.

Each user can create up to 100 of different radio stations that later he can change or remove.



What software do I need to listen to Pandora Radio? (go to the top)

You don't need to install any additional software! All you need is a browser with installed FlashPlayer (since Pandora interface is based on Flash).

You should just enter the address www.pandora.com to the address bar of your browser and enjoy music.



Can I listen to Pandora only on my PC? (go to the top)

Pandora Internet Radio is available either on PC (OS Windows, Mac OS, Linux) or on smartphones, iPhone, iPad and even iPod Touch.



How much does it cost? (go to the top)

The resource is free. It's available to all people in the USA.



Do I need to register? (go to the top)

Yes, you have to register on Pandora site so that the system saved the list and settings of your personal radio stations.

The registration process is quite fast and can be performed in one stage.

That's OK. There shouldn't be any confirmation. We've chosen fast registration on the site so not to take up your time.



Can I delete my account? (go to the top)

You can stop using your account and it will be deleted after a while.



Do I take the risk of infecting my computer with viruses? (go to the top)

There's absolutely no risk, because you don't download tracks but listen to them in live broadcasting. It's like listening to traditional Internet radio and making your playlist for it.

Pandora system is reliably protected from virus software and guarantees your computer and data security.



How can I enter Pandora Radio site? (go to the top)

Just type or paste to the address bar of your browser this link: http://www.pandora.com.





Can I download music tracks from www.pandora.com? (go to the top)

You cannot, since Pandora is the Internet radio. But if you liked the song you can buy a disk with this track by clicking the button Buy. We cooperate with Internet stores Amazon and iTunes, where there's a wide range of music at your service.





How can I add a new radio station? (go to the top)

In the top part of the screen on the Pandora site you can see the field New Station. Start typing the names of genre, song, artist or composer. You'll be offered the list suggestions according to your request. Choose the most suitable variant and it will be the name of your new radio station.



Next, the system will be selecting the lists of songs you'll certainly be able to edit.


How can I remove a radio station? (go to the top)

Under the name of each radio station in the list there's a button Options. Click it and choose the item Delete this station.



If you've changed your mind, you can still cancel this action using the button Undo that will appear in the top part of the window.





How can I change radio station settings? (go to the top)

In the menu Options select the item Station Details.



Here you can change the order of tracks, principle of their selection and other radio station details.





Can I stop the music and later resume it? (go to the top)

For this purpose use the button Pause on the track control panel.



Clicking the same button again you'll run the track from the place it has been stopped.


Why do I need the button Shuffle? (go to the top)

Using this button you can diversify your playlist by shuffling the tracks of different radio stations. In the Shuffle menu you'll find the following features:

• Shuffle All — to play the tracks of all radio stations in random order.
• My Shuffle — you choose radio stations to mix.
• The ability to mix the tracks of particular music styles.





Can I upload my tracks on the site? (go to the top)

There's no need. Pandora Radio has a great music base. It includes both time-proved songs and the latest songs of totally different styles.

Every day the professional musicians from Pandora Media Inc. listen to hundreds of records in order to select the qualitative material for the online radio.



I don't like the track. How can I skip it? (go to the top)

You can not only to skip any track, but also remove it forever from the playlist of your radio station.

In order to do this, click on the thumb down button.

Don't forget that you can skip no more than 6 tracks and maximum 12 tracks a day.



You can also skip the composition using the menu item I'm tired of this track.


I like the track and I'd like to leave it in my playlist. (go to the top)

In this case click the thumb up button. This would mean a positive rate of the track.





How many radio stations can I create? (go to the top)

Each user can create up to 100 radio stations under one account.



How long can I keep listening to music? (go to the top)

You can listen to music whole day long. Music playing will stop only after you exit Pandora site.



I'd like to share music with my friends. (go to the top)

If your friends are registered on Pandora site, you can create friendfeed where you can place the songs you like and friends advice.



You can also import the link to your favorite radio station to Facebook and Twitter.





Why does Pandora select particular tracks? (go to the top)

You can learn why Pandora has selected a particular track for your radio station. In order to do this, choose the item "Why was this track selected" in the song menu?





I like the music playing on my radio station. I'd like to find similar artists. (go to the top)

It's a piece of cake. When a record is playing, in the lower part of the window you can see the list of artists, who record the music of similar style.
